The story of Horizon

It all began with the purchase of a small duplicator, a color copier and little else. In 1991 Mike Spann launched Horizon Printing and in the 31 years since, Horizon has grown to be one of the largest and most respected commercial printers in central Texas—and one of the few still owned and managed by its founder. The key to our long term success is simple: provide high quality printing at competitive prices with fast, professional service.

The Importance of Technology

New technologies and equipment advances have been an important part of Horizon Printing & Mailing’s evolution. An early convert to computer-to-plate technology, in 2006 we were the first commercial printer in Central Texas to purchase a UV offset press allowing for quicker turns, better print quality, and the ability to produce dazzling special effects. As time went on, it was only natural to make the shift to LED UV providing even more efficiency, as well as environmental benefits. Other printers in the region have recently acquired UV, but we’ve been doing it for 16 years!
